Mission

UANL is a public institution strongly committed to society. Its mission is to educate high school students, technicians, professionals, university professors and researchers to perform efficiently in a knowledge based society with a broad sense of the meaning of life and with awareness of regional, national and global issues. They will apply university principles and values and will be committed to the sustainable, financial, scientific, technological, and cultural development of humanity. Likewise, they’ll be innovative and competitive professionals who achieve their personal success and contribute to Mexico’s progress in an international context.

UANL generates social, scientific, and humanist knowledge as an activity that allows us to provide timely assistance to the diverse needs of society as a whole, as well as assuring and permanently improving the high quality of university education.

The Institution also extends the benefits of university education to the community, promotes artistic creation in its different means of expression, involves community in this type of activities and contributes to the preservation of the national and universal wealth and cultural heritage.

Vision

By 2020, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon will be acknowledged as a socially responsible institution ranking among the foremost due to the quality and relevance of its contributions, to innovation, to scientific and technological development,  to the construction of schools of thought, and to the enrichment of human development of Nuevo Leon and Mexico’s society.
